My name is Jake Nantais and I am running for the position of the 2014-2015 Conestoga Engineering Society (CES) President. I am currently in my third year of study in the Mechanical Systems Engineering program. Over the last year I have represented Conestoga’s Engineering Society as the 2013-2014 Vice President External (VPE). Through the VPE position I was able to organize the first ever Conestoga Engineering Hockey Team. Additionally, I was giving the chance to help with the ESSCO Rube Goldberg. As a first year I was able to participate in the Rube Goldberg build at the CN Tower and as a second year was known as the Brew King.
If voted the 2014-2015 CES President a couple things that I would want to accomplish are working with the VPO to help ensure regular maintenance of the Conestoga Engineering Society Website. In addition I would like to initiate a business card service made available though CES to member students. Also, I plan on working with incoming and outgoing executives to establish a set of transition documents to supply incoming executives. Lastly I wish to work with the incoming Vice President External and strengthen CES”s relationship with PEO’s Grand River chapter. Due to my experience and qualifications I know I am a great candidate for the 2014-2015 CES President.
